Over the last two weeks, I've had several people ask me if I have felt the baby move yet. According to my doctor and everything I've read, you are supposed to feel the first movements between 16 and 20 weeks. Well, I was almost 18 weeks and I hadn't felt a thing. If I didn't have ultrasound pictures and some pants that were getting too tight, I wouldn't believe I was pregnant. I wasn't really frustrated that I hadn't felt him move yet, but I was worried that I wouldn't be able to recognize him kicking because I had no idea what it would feel like. Fortunately, I received my first issue of American Baby in the mail which included an article about baby movements. The article described the feeling as a flutter or like popcorn popping or air bubbles in your stomach. I kept that description in the back of my mind and felt a little more secure about identifying my baby's movements.
On Wednesday night at The Move, we had a worship night. It was awesome. We had about 500 students, and our band rocked it out for an hour and a half. I was standing in the back, listening and worshipping to the songs, when I felt something like air bubbles in my stomach. I immediately thought that it might be Baby Hawk partying it up, but I wasn't sure. So I quietly prayed that if it was it would happen again so that I would know for sure. I thought how awesome would it be if the first time I felt him move was at a worship night! Well, a couple songs later, I felt it again and it was undeniable. I thought I would share the song that Baby Hawk was rocking out to. Hope you enjoy it. I can't believe we are only 5 months away from meeting this little guy!
