Brooks- 10 Months

Happy 10 Months!  Man, your first year is flying by. You are such a joy and we couldn't imagine our family without you in it.

Weight: around 18 lbs.      Height:  around 27 in.

Firsts:
* First top tooth breaks through
* First time saying "da-da" and "ma-ma"
* First time feeding your self (probably Cheerios)
* First trip to Iowa
* First baseball game
* First time at the pool


Milestones:  
 - Talking!- You are saying "da-da" and "ma-ma" and babbling a lot; you love to shrill your tongue and make raspberry sounds
 - Teething- although you got your first 2 teeth last month, you got FOUR top ones this month and are not too quiet about it!


Like Mommy: You don't like being ignored, haha!

Like Daddy: You babble all the time. ;)

Mommy's Favorite: Even though it means you're not a baby anymore, Mommy loves watching you become more independent and learning to do things on your own.

Daddy's Favorite:  Daddy loves that you have become more drawn to him this month.  Before, you were probably more a Mommy's boy but now you love to laugh and laugh at Daddy.

How We Spend Our Day: You take about an hour and a half nap in the mornings and an hour and a half nap in the afternoons and are sleeping through the night from 7:30-6ish.

Best Memory: Our trip to Iowa with Grandmommy and Granddaddy and Landry to see Uncle Brett and Aunt Lauren. You went to your first baseball game to see the Iowa Cubs play (it was your brother's first too!).

Biggest Challenge: It is hard to keep you still.  You are super wiggly when we change your diaper and you don't like to be held for very long.

How We Celebrated Your 10th Month: We spent the day driving home from Iowa. :)

Nena and Poppy came to visit for Memorial Day weekend.  We went to the Farmer's Market.
