Landry- 5 Months

Wow, 5 months already!  We cannot believe that in one more month you will be half a year old!  This month has been so much fun.  Your little personality is in full bloom.  You are usually so happy and love seeing and experiencing new things.  We love watching you grow and love life.

Milestones:
 - Solid Foods!  You started eating cereal a couple days after you turned 4 months.  You are a great eater and were soon eating it 3 times a day.  You had squash for the first time the day before you turned 5 months.
 - Mobility!  You are getting so much more mobile.  You can roll all around the room and can turn yourself around with your hands. You can also scoot backwards.  You will be crawling in no time.
 - Playtime- you are so much more interactive now and like to sit up and reach for your toys.  You also love your new exersaucer that Santa brought you.
- Recognition- you know your name.  When we say 'Landry,' you look up at us.  You also smile when you see Mommy or Daddy.  You also are beginning to notice Roddick.  You love to look at him as he walks by and reach for him.

Like Mommy: You are still very much like Daddy, but it seems that you are beginning to look a little more like Mommy when she was a baby, especially your eyes.

Like Daddy: You are very social, very curious, very active!

Mommy's Favorite: Mommy loves when you smile at her, especially when she comes to get you out of the crib in the morning or after a nap.

Daddy's Favorite: Daddy loves taking you on walks with Roddick and playing with you when he gets home from work.

How We Spend Our Day: This month, especially after Christmas, we have started getting back on a good schedule.  You have been waking up at 5am thinking it's time to get up, but Mommy lets you chill in your crib until at least 6.  You still eat 5 times a day, but you have cereal as well as milk for 3 meals and now you take a bottle of formula at bedtime.  You take 3 naps a day and usually go to bed between 8:30 and 9.

Best Memory: There were so many great memories this month because of Christmas and the holidays.  We were so blessed to get to spend Christmas with all of Mommy's family and then Grandmommy and Grandaddy came to Florida to spend more time with us.

Biggest Challenge: Getting you to sleep through the night continued to be a challenge this month.  It didn't help that we were out of town and a lot of other things were going on.  After Christmas, you stopped waking up in the middle of the night and started sleeping until 5 pretty consistently.  Other than that, you are a pretty easy baby.

How We Celebrated Your 5th Month: We had a fun day at home and then went to dinner at some friends' house.  We forgot all about taking your pictures and had to do it right before you went to bed.  You still managed to give us some good smiles!
