September 2013

Now that Landry is 1, and I am no longer doing monthly updates for him, I still want to do some type of monthly update so I can remember what happened during the month.  So, I think I'll just put the highlights of each month in a post.  And ONE DAY maybe I'll post more often than once a month!

Month: September 2013
Family: Josh (32), Ashley (29), Landry (13 mo.)
Favorite Memory: Having fun as a family!
High of the Month: Ashley started her own law firm, Ashley Hawk, P.A.!!!
Low of the Month: UT suffered their worst loss since 1919 to Oregon (59-14)
*There really weren't any personal lows, so we're going with something else close to our hearts.

Looking back at the month of September (since it's now November!), we actually had a pretty low-key month.  We started the month celebrating Labor Day at the Froelichs' house.  Mr. Greg Froelich is the communications director at Grace, and he and his wife, Felicia have 4 older boys.  Landry LOVED playing in their pool and playing volleyball with the boys.  The first Wednesday night, The MOVE had their big back-to-school bash.  We were supposed to have the service outside in the parking lot and had a stage set up and everything but then it poured during the service time.  But we still had over 700 students and were able to go outside to participate in the giant color war!  Taco Bus even made an appearance at the event.

The next weekend we took a day trip up to Oxford, FL to see Josh and Amber Henderson and celebrate Amber's baby shower.  We took them some of Landry's old baby toys and can't wait for Baby Trinity to be able to use them.  Trinity Grace is due for arrival sometime in November!

Landry also had two pool playdates this month.  One with Sienna at her aunt's pool and one with Jalen Dungy at his house.  Landry loves the water but doesn't like to stay in his float anymore, which makes a lot of work for Mommy and Daddy.  This month we also made a visit to Bush Gardens, where we rode some  rides and saw the animals.  We love having passes to Bush Gardens and going once a month for just a couple hours and now that Landry is getting older, he loves the children's area but was not too crazy about the characters.

At the end of the month, Ashley went on the women's retreat, A Beautiful Weekend and Josh man-handled Landry for the weekend. :)  Ashley stayed busy most of the month, setting up her new business and working on business plans and budgets. Josh and Landry surprised her with her very own MacBook Air to use for her new job!  Josh continued to love his job and started a new sermon series, Expect More, at the Move and the Reckoning.
