October 2013

Month: October 2013
Family: Josh (32), Ashley (29), Landry (14 mo.)
Favorite Memory: Our Fall trip to Tennessee and Virginia
High of the Month: Seeing family and old friends
Low of the Month: No lows!

October was REALLY busy and REALLY fun!  At the beginning of the month, Josh and Ashley went to New York with a group from The Reckoning to attend the first ever Hillsong Conference in the United States.  It was awesome!  While there they were there, they toured the 9/11 Memorial, walked through Central Park and over the Brooklyn Bridge, saw a Broadway musical, First Date, and ate dessert at the famous Serendipity.  The Conference was held in Radio City Music Hall, which was awesome.  Landry stayed behind but had lots of fun and quality time with his Nena.

Even though Fall does not visit us here in Florida, we decided we still needed to do some quintessential Fall things and visited a farm and pumpkin patch with our small group.

Then, at the end of the month, we headed up north to experience some "real" Fall.  We first headed to Knoxville for the UT-SC game.  We were lucky to get to stay at a cabin in the Smokey Mountains owned by some friends of my parents.  From there we headed to Marion, VA, where Josh's parents live, for a few days.

Met up with my college           The Knoxville Sunsphere      Aunt Rachel got to have dinner with us too
roommate, Lauren, in
Knoxville.

We stopped to see Aunt Rachel on the way home and Landry got to run on the field and then get bandaged up like a real football player!

And, FINALLY in October, we celebrated Halloween.  Landry rode around the neighborhood in his wagon trick-or-treating.  He said "thank you" every time somebody gave him candy.

Here he is in last year's costume.  It still fit!  He wasn't quite sure of it.

This year's costume- SUPERMAN!

The END
