Brooks- 2 Months

Little Brooks!  We are so blessed to have you in our family.  You are so sweet!  We have been adjusting to our "new normal" this month and have been doing pretty well!  The house isn't clean, but who cares?

Weight:  9 lbs.          Height: 21 1/2 in.

Firsts:
* First babysitter- Mackenzie :)
* First ultrasound
* First trip to Sea World
* First (and hopefully only) women's retreat- A Beautiful Weekend
* First smiles
* First time sleeping through the night

Milestones:
 - Stretching out eating to every 4 hours (mainly from a pumped bottle) and able to go all night without eating
 - Smiling and recognizing people
 - Sleeping longer stretches at night

Like Mommy: You are very serious.  You crack us up with your serious looks and how you react when Landry gets in your face.

Like Daddy: You like to cuddle like your Daddy.

Mommy's Favorite: Mommy loves hanging out with you while your brother is at school and having coffee dates with you ;)

Daddy's Favorite:  Daddy loves seeing you smile and playing with you and your brother after work.

How We Spend Our Day:  We wake up around 7 and you eat while Daddy gets Landry up and gets him breakfast.  On Mondays and Wednesdays, we hang out at home or run errands while Landry is at school.  You take your naps either in your swing or your crib. We are trying to do more tummy time to strengthen your neck, but you are not a fan.  You have stretched your eating to about every 4 hours (7:30, 11:30, 3:30, 7:30) and take 4-5 oz.  You have one last feeding around 10:30 or 11 and have been going without eating overnight.  Every couple nights you get a bath.  You are taking naps between every feeding and sleeping pretty well at night, waking up once or twice but settling quickly.

Best Memory: So many good memories this month!  My favorite is probably holding you after you eat in the middle of the night until you fall asleep on my chest and cuddling with you in the morning.

Biggest Challenge:  Tummy time!  You hate it!  We try to get you to do it several times a day because you tend to favor one side over the other.
