Landry- 8 Months

Landry- You are such a joy! Mommy and Daddy love watching you grow and make new discoveries.  You are always so happy.  You adapt well to new situations and have never met a stranger.  We love you so much and are so grateful God chose us to be your parents.

Weight: around 16 1/2 lbs.    Height: around 27 in. (haven't added much length)

Firsts:
* First flight (to Nashville)- 3/20
* First meat- shredded chicken
* First snow- had a little dusting while we were in Spring Hill visiting Grandmommy and Granddaddy
* First celebrity encounter- saw Brad and Kimberly Paisley and Sheryl Crow at lunch in Nashville
* First Easter- 3/31
* First time standing on own
* Said "da-da" and "ba-ba"
* First tooth!- 4/15
* First big boy bath!

Milestones:
 - Crawling-You have mastered crawling and are everywhere.  You even figured out how to crawl on hardwood floor in long pants while we were at Grandmommy and Grandaddy's.
 - Teething- One just broke through on the bottom
 - Babbling- You can say "dada" but not sure you know what it means
- Standing and Cruising- You stood on your own for a few seconds and are cruising around on everything.  You like to walk around the couch more than you like playing with your toys.
- Bruising- you have had more than your share of bruises.  You go full speed with everything and have had several falls from pulling up on things or just slipping from crawling too fast.  Most of the time you just look up and then go right back to whatever you were doing.

Like Mommy: You're smart, just like your momma. (In full disclosure, Daddy said that.)  Your pediatrician said that you were doing things at 6 months that 9 month olds do. That a boy!

Like Daddy: You are always on the go and such a little charmer.

Mommy's Favorite:  Mommy loved taking you to see your grandparents and other family in Tennessee and seeing you interact with them while Daddy was in Ireland.

Daddy's Favorite:  Loves watching you perfect your crawling and just seeing how fast you can go.

How We Spend Our Day: You started sleeping 11+ hours at night when we got back from Tennessee! You wake up between 6:30-7, have breakfast and play for a little bit and are back down for a nap 2 hours later. After lunch, you and Mommy take walks or run errands and then you have your afternoon nap around 2. When Daddy gets home, we all play and then you go to bed between 7:30-8.

Best Memory:   Mommy's best memory was watching you interact with GiGi when we went to Nashville.  She was in a rehab facility because she had fallen at home and needed to get better.  We went to visit her almost everyday we were there and you enjoyed pulling up on her wheelchair and would sit in her lap while you ate.  You would smile when she talked to you.

Biggest Challenge: The biggest challenge this month continues to be keeping up with your increasing mobility and baby-proofing along the way.  Just when we think we've gotten everything covered, you discover something else.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
